The Cyber Battle Australia 2025 Qualifying Round took place on Saturday, 17 May, bringing together over 200 students from across the country for a high-energy, skills-driven Capture the Flag (CTF) event. Thanks to the incredible support from our sponsors, mentors, and partners, the round was a great success.
A total of 73 teams signed up for the qualifying event. On the day, 69 teams logged in to compete, with 64 teams scoring points. After a tough round of problem-solving and cyber challenges, 26 teams have now qualified for the Grand Final.
Finalist teams are spread across Australia, with representation from:
- Adelaide – 6 teams
- Brisbane – 3 teams
- Canberra – 3 teams
- Melbourne – 5 teams
- Perth – 4 teams
- Sydney – 5 teams
Notably, 70% of the qualified participants are TAFE students, and 12% are female, showing the growing diversity and reach of cyber skills training in Australia.
