Emily Bowman
Emily Bowman

a/Assistant Director General Director (ADG) at Quality Assurance Office (QAO)

Emily started her career in 2009 working for the Department of Defence. Initially working with both internal and external stakeholders managing security incidents she moved into Personnel Security in 2013. With a focus on complex personnel case management and insider threat Emily led the development and maturing of the organisation’s insider threat program, as well as managing complex personnel security cases.  

In July 2021 Emily was seconded to a whole of government Taskforce as the insider threat SME and in February 2022 moved to the Quality Assurance Office (QAO) within ONI. Emily commenced as a/Assistant Director General Director (ADG) Quality Assurance Office (QAO) in July 2025, prior to this she was Director QAO Insider Threat. 

Emily has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New England. 

Ben Cornish

Director & National Security Risk Specialist at McGrathNicol

Ben leads McGrathNicol’s National Security Risk practice, offering expert advice on the spectrum of national security threats facing government and industry. With over 25 years of experience, Ben is recognised for his leadership in national and enterprise security, counter foreign interference, and insider risk mitigation, strategy development, and investigations.

Ben focuses on building security awareness, strategic resilience, and a strong security culture across sectors and is lead presenter on the Australian Insider Risk Centre of Excellence’s (AIR COE) Insider Risk Masterclass. Ben has conducted sensitive investigations and advised top-level government and industry stakeholders. His background includes senior national security roles in both public and private sectors, including as Deputy CISO and Security and Risk Program Manager for a major Defence Industry Prime.

Paul Curwell

Paul is a Principal in Deloitte’s Forensic practice, based in Canberra. He joined Deloitte after leading the global fraud / financial crime, geopolitical and security intelligence function within Group Security at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for 5 years. 

Paul has over 20 years’ risk and compliance experience across insider threats, fraud, protective security, supply chain threats, and intelligence, primarily supporting government, critical infrastructure, critical technology, and financial services clients. 

He is co-author of a book on Terrorist Diversion; regularly writes and presents on insider threats and trade secrets theft; is a part-time lecturer at the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security, Charles Sturt University; an expert mentor for Techstars, the global startup incubator network; and recently joined the Standards Committee and Oversight Board for small-medium business cyber security at Dynamic Standards International.

Molly Day

Head of CTI and Threat Detection at SEEK

Molly is a seasoned intelligence professional with a robust background in cyber threat intelligence (CTI), including experience in consulting, law enforcement, and anti-corruption. She currently leads the Intelligence and Threat Detection team at SEEK, driving initiatives in CTI, threat hunting, detection engineering, and insider risk management.

Molly is passionate about insider risk management and has led the development of SEEK’s insider risk program from the ground up. Throughout her career, she has worked on a wide range of investigations and security incidents, including state-sponsored incidents, espionage, ransomware, fraud and terrorism.

With deep expertise in CTI and a strategic focus on insider risk, Molly blends technical proficiency with a nuanced understanding of human factors in risk. She is also a strong advocate for knowledge-sharing and actively contributes to policy, training, and development in the field of cyber security.

Jamie Lindsay

Vice President – Technology at DTEX

Jamie Lindsay is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with 15 years of experience in cyber, insider risk and enterprise technology. As the VP of Technology at DTEX Systems, he focuses on the application of current and emerging technologies to mitigate the risk of insider threats. Jamie has directly supported the development and maturation of some of the leading insider programs in Australia and around the world. Sectors supported include Banking, Federal Government, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Manufacturing and Energy and Utilities. Jamie also leads DTEX’s partnership with the MITRE Corporation, with the mission to uplift capability for Critical Infrastructure and Government entities across the Five Eyes countries. 

Min Livanidis

Min Livanidis is Chief Security Advisor at Microsoft and a Non-Executive Director of both the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (Aus3C) and the Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC). She also serves as Industry Professor at Deakin University. Previously, Min led AWS public policy for cybersecurity and data in Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining Microsoft, she established and led the Security Intelligence Centre at NBN Co. and served as national security policy adviser. Her earlier roles at the Australian Signals Directorate and Office of the Deputy Secretary for Intelligence and Security earned her three Australian Intelligence Community Medallions. Min has also worked as a federal government consultant at PwC and KPMG.

She holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from Monash University and a Bachelor of International Relations (Hons I) from La Trobe University.

Steve Mullins

Steve is an Insider Threat Practitioner specialising in disrupting-dismantling Trusted Insider and Cybersecurity threats for APAC clients including Airbnb. He continues to leverage his extensive international police network gained from Australian Federal Police Senior Liaison postings to Vietnam, Afghanistan and Papua New Guinea. He is a Premium Member and a graduate of the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, Insider Risk Centre of Excellence (AIR CoE) Masterclass and its community of practice. He is active in cybersecurity (human behaviour) mentorship and advises on complex governance and insider risk strategy for private sector clients. 

Paul V. Patty

Security Risk, Governance and Assurance Manager – BAE Systems Australia

Paul is a security executive responsible for insider threat management at BAE Systems Australia, the country’s largest defence manufacturer. He has extensive private and public sector experience in the management of sensitive internal investigations and security risk management programs. He previously worked as the lead for insider threat management in a major professional services firm.

Since 2009 he has served in the Australian Army Reserve, and is a noted specialist in the fields of counterintelligence and information warfare. He holds a Master of Intelligence Analysis from Charles Sturt University, and bachelors degrees in Arts and Laws from the University of Queensland.
